The Lora Antenna 433MHz SMA Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-AP-0433-13195-SMA comes with a 90 degrees foldable SMA connector rubber duck antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for Lora and ISM bands terminals.

The portable Lora antenna 433 MHz SMA Antenna Omni-Directional Terminal Antenna has a 13x195mm plastic ABS antenna radome, a 2dBi gain, Omni dipole antenna design, which can be used for indoor-outdoor IoT, and M2M applications.

The secret of LoRa’s low power consumption

We know that distance and power consumption are natural contradictions in communication systems. If the transmitting power is reduced, the propagation distance is inevitably closer.

So how does LoRa solve this contradiction? The fundamental reason is that LoRa improves the receiver’s sensitivity so that it has a superb link budget and does not need a high transmit power.

The LoRa receiver sensitivity is due to the direct sequence spread spectrum technology. Lora uses a high spread factor, which results in a high signal gain. The general FSK signal-to-noise ratio requires 8 dB, while LoRa requires only -20 dB.

In addition, LoRa applies forward error correction coding technology, which adds redundancy to the transmitted information and effectively resists multipath fading. Although some transmission efficiency is sacrificed, the transmission reliability is effectively improved, and after all, LoRa does not need a much higher transmission rate.
