What is A High-gain 8 dBi Lora Antenna 915 MHz?
The High-gain 8 dBi Lora Antenna 915 MHz Omni Fiberglass Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-FB-0915-20600-NM is an 868MHz/8 dBi Gain Omni Lora antenna 915MHz/8 dBi gain Omni Lora glass fiber antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for Lora applications.
What is the networking architecture of Lora?
The most important feature of LoRa is the physical layer or radio modulation that creates long-range communication connections, which is based on CSS modulation (Chirp Spread Spectrum).
Compared to traditional modulation techniques such as ASK and FSK, LoRa can greatly increase the communication range and CSS is characterized by long transmission distances and high interference resistance.
LoRa and LoRaWAN have better link budgets than other standard communication technologies, and a single gateway or base station can cover a large area, depending on the environment and interference at the location used.
LoRa is one of the popular technologies designed specifically for IoT wireless transmission and the LoRa network specification has the LoRa physical layer technology and the LoRAWAN open layer protocol.
How LoRaWAN works?
At the most basic level, wireless protocols like LoRaWAN are fairly simple. LoRaWAN is a star or star-to-star topology and is generally considered better than mesh networks because of its advantages in keeping batteries charged and increasing communication range.
Specifically, the star topology relays messages through gateways to a central server, with each end node transmitting data to multiple gateways. The gateways then forward the data to a web server where redundancy detection, security checks, and message scheduling are performed.
Two distinct advantages of this design are.
1. Simpler tracking:
Since the end nodes send data to multiple gateways, gateway-to-gateway communication is not required. This simplifies the logic of the end-node mobile tracking application.
2. Better public networks:
This non-pairwise relationship allows a central server to resolve collisions, so LoRaWAN may be better suited for deployment on public networks.
Almost all LPWAN systems (including LoRaWAN) have multiple receive channels, and most LoRaWAN systems can receive eight messages simultaneously on any number of frequency channels.
