The radio frequency tag (RFID TAG) is installed in the identified object, and stores the electronic device which the identified object-related information, often called the electronic label. It is the data carrier of the radio frequency recognition system and is the core of the radio frequency recognition system.
What are the RFID Tag Classifications?
(1) According to the label work way classification
Active label. With its own radio frequency energy actively transmits data to the reader’s label. The active tag contains the power supply.
Passive tag. The tag enters the communication state after being triggered by the query signal issued by the reader. The
passive labels may have active and may be passive.
(2) According to the tag read-write classification
Read-only label. Can only read out and can not write the label. Can be divided into the following three categories:
Read-only tags: The contents of the factory have been written, identification can only be read out, and can not be rewritten.
One-time programming read-only label: label content can only be written in one-time programming before the application, and identification process content can not be rewritten.
Repeatable programmable read-only label: label content can be reprogrammed to write after erasure, and the content of the identification process can not be rewritten.
Read-write label. Label content can both be read by the reader, and can be written by the reader label.
(3) according to the label with or without energy classification
Passive tag: tag does not contain a battery tag. Work energy from the reader RF energy.
Active tag: the tag contains a battery tag. Do not need to use the reader’s RF energy.
Semi-active tags: the reader’s RF energy plays a role in waking up the tag into the working state.
(4) According to the tag’s operating frequency classification.
(5) Classification by the working distance of the tag.
