The High-performance NB Cellular 3G 4G GSM FPC Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-FPC-7027-8919-IPEX antenna item is a flexible PCB antenna Narrowband IoT cellular 2G 3G 4G GSM LTE antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for cellular-IoT wireless network applications.

The High-performance NB Cellular 3G 4G GSM FPC Antenna comes with an 8dBi high gain, an 89x19mm flexible circuit board size, 100mm cable antenna extender length, adhesive mounting, and Ipex/u.FL connector, covers LoRa, GSM, NB-IoT, UMTS, LTE, for 2G 3G 4G applications.

What is Cellular-IoT?

The current mainstream Cellular-IoT (C-IoT) technologies refer to NB-IoT and LTE-M, both of which are based on traditional cellular network technologies, tailored and optimized for low-cost and low-power applications for IoT.

The technical specifications are defined and distributed by 3GPP, based on proprietary licensed spectrum, and network deployment and operation by traditional telecom operators.

Because C-IoT is based on traditional cellular network technology, the technical complexity and corresponding cost and power consumption will be higher compared to brand new LPWA customized technologies such as Sigfox, similar to 3G/4G, etc.

The NB-IoT network, for example, supports more than ten bands in total, and networks in different countries or regions can use different bands, which is a higher cost and technical challenge for terminal devices.
