The High-gain EU868 US915 8dBi Antenna LoraWan Fiberglass Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-FB-8593-20600-N is an 868/915 MHz 8 dBi high-gain Omni LoRa antenna N-Type male connector omnidirectional fiberglass antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for outdoor LoRa &LoRa Wan applications.

What is LoRaWAN star topology?

The Server module in LoRaWAN can be subdivided into a Join server, Application Server, and Network Server, just according to the function, in practice it can be a physical whole.

Join Server is used for the activation process when requesting network service capability from end devices, Network Server is responsible for MAC data interaction with gateway and end devices, Application Server is the application layer server.

LoRa operates mainly in the ISM bands (i.e. unlicensed bands), including 433 MHz in Asia, 868 MHz in Europe, 915 MHz in America, 470-510 MHz in China, 928 MHz in Japan, etc.

The LoRa network architecture consists of four parts: end nodes, gateways, web servers, and application servers, and application data can be transmitted in both directions.

Compared to traditional GFSK technology, which is less stable and less secure than short-range RF technology, LoRa as long-range RF technology uses direct-sequence spread spectrum technology, so that the spread spectrum modulated signal occupies a bandwidth much larger than the minimum bandwidth necessary for the transmitted information.

In spread spectrum technology, the wideband unwanted signal is not correlated with the local code sequence and therefore cannot be despread, but remains a wideband signal that can be filtered out by subsequent narrowband filters to remove irrelevant signals.

The powerful anti-interference capability of spread spectrum technology can significantly improve reception sensitivity, and this capability allows LoRa to achieve longer communication distances than other modulation techniques.
