What is Lora Fiberglass Antenna 8dBi?
The Lora Fiberglass Antenna 8dBi High-gain Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-FB-8593-20600-N-8DBI is a Lora fiberglass antenna 850-930MHz 8dBi fiberglass antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for outdoor LoRa & LoRa Wan applications.
The Lora Fiberglass Antenna 8dBi High-gain Antenna has an 8 dBi high gain, a 20x600mm waterproof fiberglass antenna radome, an N-type male connector, and easy mount to the LoRa devices.
LoRa Security Facts and Fallacies
Physical security of LoRaWAN devices:
AppKeys and derived session secret keys are continuously stored in LoRaWAN devices, and their security relies on the physical security of the device. Once the device is physically compromised, these secret keys exist in tamper-proof memory and are thus protected and difficult to extract.
Cryptography: Some sources state that LoRaWAN ciphers use only XOR and not AES. in fact, as mentioned before, AES is used in the standardized CTR mode, which takes advantage of the XOR cryptographic operation (along with many other modes such as CBC). This strengthens the AES algorithm by assigning a unique AES code to each packet cipher.
Session secret key distribution: Since AppSKey and NwkSKey are generated from the same AppKey, it can be argued that if the LoRaWAN operator gets the AppKey, it can derive the AppSKey and thus decode the network.
So to avoid this, the server has to manage the storage of the AppKey, and the process of bi-directional authentication and key derivation can be operated by an entity other than the operator.
To give operators extra flexibility, the next new version of the LoRaWAN protocol (1.1) will define two master secret keys, one for the network (NwkKey) and one for the application (AppKey).
Back-end interface security: The back-end interface includes control and data signals between the network and application servers. HTTPS and VPN technologies are used to secure communication between these critical infrastructure elements.
Implementation and deployment security: The LoRa Alliance has been securing its protocol and architecture specifications, but the overall security of the solution depends on the specific implementation and deployment approach.
So security requires the cooperation of all parts of the process, with manufacturers, vendors, and operators all needing to be involved.
